Wildfire/Habitat Recovery Donation
Pristine habitat is vital to helping maintain and even improve wildlife populations in Washington State. The dedicated volunteers in our Wildfire/Habitat Recovery Committee work hard to repair local wildlife habitat that has been degraded by fire, human use, climate change, and other factors. Recently this committee worked closely with WDFW (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) and BLM (Bureau of Land Management) on several planting projects in the wake of the Whitney Fire. Aided by the support of generous donors our volunteers worked hard to plant trees, shrubs, and seeds throughout the burn scar. These plants will help provide cover for threatened sharp-tailed grouse, forage for mule deer, nesting sites for songbirds, and so much more! 100% of the donations committed to the Wildfire/Habitat Recovery committee.
